英语句式结构探究及例句

Be believed to 是考试常考句型，也是学生易错知识点。

Be believed to…是固定句式，意思为“据说，人们认为，有人相信”，其中不定式有几种时态和语态的变化。当表示“据说做过某事时”，用be said to have done sth ，而be said to have been doing sth 则意为“据说一直在 做某事“，表示某事已经做了一段时间，但还没有完成；be said to be doing sth 表示“据说正在做某事”。同时，现在式和过去式的被动语态分别为to be done; to have been done.例如:

The story is believed to be true.

据说这个故事是真实的。

The fire was believed to be caused by carelessness.

据说大火是由于粗细引起的。

The little boy is believed to be sleeping in the room.

人们认为那个小孩正在房间里睡觉。

The pilot was believed to have landed somewhere this area.

据说那个飞行员降落在这一地区的某个地方了。

注意：该句型可改写为It is believed that…句型。

例如：The story is believed to be true..

可改写为It is believed that the story is true.    据说这个故事是真实的。

规律点拨：类似的结构还有：be said/known/reported/announced/thought/hoped to…而且还可以与It is reported/believed/hoped/thought…that…例如:

Tom is said to have known about the matter =It is said that Tom has known about the matter.

据说汤姆已经知道这件事了。
